Abstract:
Investigations were carried out in two types of waste water from sugar and alcohol production from molasses. Main chemical parameters were established, which acts directly on the soil, surface and ground waters. The results showed that waste water from the production of alcohol have a high mineral content – 9,4 ± 0,7, organic matter – 7,3 ± 0,5, sulphate – 1,15 ± 0,5, chlorine – 1,0 ± 0,2, sodium – 1,26 ± 0,4, potassium – 3,4 ± 0,1, total nitrogen – 1,2 ± 0,2, suspensions – 1,17 ± 0,4, content of biological oxygen (CBO5) – 2,6 ± 0,5 and content of chemical oxygen (CCO) – 5,2 ± 0,7 g/dm3. The waste waters from sugar production are less concentrated, the average mineral content is 1,7 ± 0,1, organic compounds – 0,65 ± 0,1, sulphate – 0,26 ± 0,002, chlorine – 0,23 ± 0,01, sodium – 0,36 ± 0,02, suspensions – 0,51 ± 0,04, consumption of biological oxygen (CBO5) – 0,92 ± 0,3 and consumption of chemical oxygen (CCO) – 2,7 ± 0,7 g/dm3.
